Women in Technology & Science Ireland (WITS) is an independent, voluntary organisation dedicated to supporting and promoting women in STEM — Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Established in 1990, WITS has been a driving force for gender equity in Ireland’s STEM sectors for over three decades. We connect, advocate for, and champion women in STEM, providing a network that fosters collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and career progression. Our mission is to attract, retain, and develop women in STEM — ensuring more women not only enter these fields but thrive and lead within them. WITS delivers a dynamic programme of events, mentoring, workshops, and advocacy initiatives aimed at supporting women at all stages of their STEM careers. We also collaborate with industry, academia, and policymakers to break down barriers to participation and advancement, advocating for a more diverse and inclusive STEM environment. By amplifying the voices and achievements of women in STEM, WITS is committed to driving meaningful change. Whether you’re a student, researcher, professional, or leader, WITS offers a community where you can connect, grow, and contribute to shaping the future of STEM in Irelan
