Dr Siobhan Roche

As Director of Science for the Economy at Research Ireland, Siobhan leads the agency’s strategic objectives focused on collaborative research initiatives between academia and enterprise, including the establishment of internationally leading Research Centres and bespoke enterprise partnerships. Siobhan holds a B.A. Mod in Genetics from Trinity College Dublin and a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California at Berkeley (USA). Prior to Research Ireland, she worked as a research scientist in both the private sector and in third level research, authoring publications in leading, peer-reviewed journals and producing several international patents.
